Calahorra Tower

The Calahorra Tower is a fortification located at the southern end of the Roman Bridge. It was built in the 13th century by the Almohads and is an example of the military architecture of the period. Viana Palace

The Palacio de Viana is one of the monuments in Cordoba that you cannot miss. It is a complex of courtyards and gardens in the centre of the city. Roman Temple

The Roman Temple of Cordoba is one of the oldest monuments in the city. It was built in the 1st century BC and was located in the city's Roman forum. Nowadays only a few remains are preserved, but it is possible to visit them in Calle Claudio Marcelo, in the heart of the city centre.

Plaza del Potro

The Plaza del Potro is a charming square in the Jewish Quarter. It is home to the House Museum of the Cordovan painter Julio Romero de Torres, as well as the Museum of Fine Arts of Cordoba. The square also hosts a craft and antiques market every Saturday.

Alcazar of the Gate of Seville

The Alcázar de la Puerta de Sevilla is a fortification located in the centre of the city. It was built in the 14th century by order of King Pedro I and is an example of the military architecture of the period. It currently houses the City Museum, which provides an insight into the history and culture of Cordoba.

Baths of the Caliphate Alcazar

The Baths of the Caliphate Alcazar are a group of Arab baths located in the Jewish Quarter. They were built in the 10th century and are one of the few surviving public baths from the Muslim period in Spain. Here you can see different rooms and spaces dedicated to hygiene.

Convent of Santa Clara

La Casa Andalusí is a museum that gives you an insight into what life was like in Cordoba during the Muslim era and can be found at Calle Judíos 12. You can also see everyday objects from the period, such as kitchen utensils, musical instruments and jewellery. One of the rooms of the Casa Andalusí houses the Paper Museum. 

Corredera Square

The Plaza de la Corredera is a rectangular square in the centre of the city. It was built in the 17th century and is an example of Baroque civil architecture. Bullfights and other public spectacles were held here at the time. Nowadays it is a meeting place for the people of Cordoba and has numerous bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the typical gastronomy of Cordoba.
