A very nice visit to Cordoba. Juanjo was very good at introducing us to the city and its surroundings while we were on the bus, then once we arrived we took a short walk to meet the other guide for the Mezquita and the Juderia, absolutely recommendable!

    Cordoba

I had booked the free time trip and organised getting around the city on my own. I had fears to miss my guided tour at first but Daniel and Javier managed to get us there just in time, plus great chaps to have a chat with. All is well that ends well and so the day became very enjoyable.

The arrangements, the bus journey and the timetable worked as promised. The bus guide was clear. The bilingual guide in Cordoba was too detailed and went over time, leaving little time for the city. The walking tour of the city was short. With everything explained in two languages, there was plenty of time to stand around. Less would have been more.

Cordoba is a fantastic city. The bus guide, Daniel, was excellent and so was the driver. Because of his written tour information and because of Daniel the local guide would take 1.5 to 2 hours and would end up outside Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos. However ...... The local guide was like a machine - talking, talking and talking for 3 hours and did not take us to Alcazar. When we asked if we could leave the Mosque before the end of the tour we were informed that we were not allowed to leave before - it was only allowed in case of emergency. We had never been kidnapped by a local guide before. Apart from the bad guide we were given less time on our own in beautiful Cordoba which is for walking and seeing other sights and less time for a quick meal.
