Andalusia
Andalusia is a region in southern Spain, known for its rich history, cultural diversity and spectacular scenery. This territory, which was the heart of Moorish rule on the Iberian Peninsula for more than seven centuries, is famous for its architectural heritage, which includes such wonders as the Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Cordoba and the Giralda in Seville.
Andalusia is also known for its vibrant social life, festivals and traditions, such as Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril. The region offers a rich and varied gastronomy, with emblematic dishes such as gazpacho, salmorejo and pescaíto frito (fried fish).
Its white towns and villages are characterised by narrow streets, flowery courtyards and an atmosphere that combines Muslim and Christian heritage.
In terms of nature, Andalusia ranges from the golden beaches of the Costa del Sol and the Costa de la Luz to the natural parks of Sierra Nevada and Doñana.
The region is also a paradise for lovers of flamenco, the dance that expresses the depth of the Andalusian soul. Andalusia is a melting pot of cultures, a land of contrasts and a jewel of Spanish heritage.
